Hopefully if you're reading this you don't need any introduction to Our Lady considering that they are an integral part of the Mind Over Matter family. Coming fast after the release of "II" this split finds Our Lady paired up with an incredible, straight-forward alternative band from Wisconsin.
When we say "alternative" we truly mean it. Imagine that you've time-warped back to 1998 and there is an incredible band is on the same bill as Far and Hum...and you're falling in love. This band is named estates. While they totally suck to try to Google or tag on Facebook, everything else about them is phenomenal. Check out their track "Stuck" below, or scope out the entire split on our Bandcamp page...and then grab a copy of this!
Of course, Our Lady has shown up with two more emotive and dynamic tracks, continuing to show the songwriting growth that we saw from the Vessels 7 inch to the incredible LP "II." These songs bridge the gap between "II" and their swan song LP, and remind us of what an incredible band they are and their place in the annals of Midwest Emo.
The artwork for this release is also rather noteworthy! The jacket for this record is a hand-bound book, comprised of a cover that is screen printed onto 140lb french paper and has 6 pages that were hand-stapled into the cover. The book features photography and design by Tim Williams as well as lyrics for all four songs. The entire package is a sight to behold, and it's a great way to showcase these songs!
