Exit Wounds is the soundtrack to a man coming apart at the seams. It is the culmination of a lifetime of self-idolatry and self-loathing, finally coming to a head. In this narrative, no one wins.
Originally released on Halloween in 2016, this has become an essential cut from the Mind Over Matter Records catalogue. It's dark and haunting and the genre-defying swirls that Exit Wounds will spin around you leave you both disoriented and eager for more. This is a highly recommended release!
By now, you've (hopefully) heard the three singles leading off of this debut LP from Sunndrug and you've already seen the headlines boasting "ex-members" of Spitfire and Norma Jean, but the truth of the matter is that this album far exceeds what their pedigree might lead you to believe. Mixing indie and alternative rock with electronic - almost industrial - elements and slow burning bluesy licks, Exit Wounds is a genre-bending roller coaster to behold.
The first pressing of Exit Wounds boasts 5 different variants, each housed inside of a wide-spine jacket topped with spot UV varnish gloss and gorgeous artwork created out of ITAL/C STUDIOS. Finished off with black flood printing on the inside and a super thick lyric insert, this is a stunning sight! The black variant comes wrapped inside of a black slip cover, die cut with the Sunndrug logo shining through in metallic gold. The gray variant also comes housed in a special slip cover with alternate colors - both of these variants are hand-numbered as well.
