Memory Entry Our World Is Going To Disappear

Our World Is Going To Disappear is the debut EP from the Brooklyn, NY trio Memory Entry. The band began in early 2020 when the three original members got together for an impromptu jam session. They carved out the beginning of what would become the song “Crawler” and parted ways, not realizing they wouldn’t step foot into the practice space again for another 19 months due to the world wide pandemic.

“We slowly began piecing together songs, pulling from our collective screamo, emo, and hardcore roots” said vocalist and guitarist Keith M. “It was a very slow process, as we were all busy with other bands and creative endeavors. We couldn’t decide on a name or a direction and that only slowed things down further.” Fast forward to summer of 2023: “I kept having these recurring dreams every night. They seemed so real. The same places; the same people; some familiar and some new. I was thinking a lot about the past, mistakes I had made and opportunities I had squandered. I wondered if all of my best days were behind me. Concurrently with the dreams, I was inspired by several pieces of art I was taking in at the time that coincided with what I had been experiencing at night and this opened up the idea of the dream world. It felt like there was work to be done - but it couldn’t all be done in our physical world. There was more to discover in this other world.”

For the physical pressing of Our World Is Going To Disappear, we partnered with the iconic Iodine Recordings to help bring the vinyl to life. We pressed the album as a single-sided 12" to help preserve the continuity of the listening experience and then hand-printed additional bleak artwork onto the b-side. The design plays perfectly into the custom "outer splatter" vinyl pressing to help add dimension. The jackets are reverseboard printed with a solid red ink flood on the interior along with a screen printed credit insert. Overall, it is a hand-created piece of beauty that we are using to welcome Memory Entry into your collection.
