Meet Dad Hats, your new favorite band. Actually, scratch that. If you haven't heard Spill yet, then what rock have you been living under? A little over a year since its original release (Happy B-Day, baby boy!), we are proud to present two new vinyl variants alongside some updated album art, all with the same pizzazz as the first pressing. Spill has been out of print in the physical realm for a little while now, so it feels great to make it widely available once more. THanks for the ongoing support!
PLEASE NOTE: These are in hand and shipping immediately!
Dad Hats is a four-piece rock outfit from Nashville, Tennessee, whose music oozes "indie rock charm mixed with the grit of upbeat pop-punk" (thepoppunkdad.com). Their sophomore release, Spill, comes complete with earworm guitar riffs, locomotor rhythms, and lyrics that are equal parts poignant and self-deprecating, perfect for fans of The Wonder Years, early Fall Out Boy or The Menzingers
Tyler Coleman (guitar), Joe Halberstadt (drums), Nate Sorg (guitar), and Craig Turner (vocals/bass) harness the sound of parties you barely remember and embarrassing memories you kinda wish you could forget. Spill is so melodic and infectious that you sometimes miss the poignant content, more relatable than most bands within this genre.
For the second pressing of Spill, we opted to create yet another version of the album art with the black variant sports the classic/iconic "Party Boy" icon while the vomit colored variant has the radical "Motormouth" icon.
Just as we did with the first pressing, each of these center frames on the jackets were screen printed on French Paper (metallic gold and black print) and then cut down and glued onto the jacket, one at a time. This process was completely done by hand here at MOMR! The jackets themselves were once again printed reverseboard, and we even upgraded the inner dust sleeve to a fun light blue color, so there are lots of cool little upgrades on this pressing. Enjoy!
