Dad Hats - Teenage Dirtbag & Never Better 7 INCH

Dad Hats Teenage Dirtbag & Never Better

Cat#: MOM099

$9.99 USD

Nashville's bad boys of pop punk are back with a couple new summer anthems for you! Dad Hats have been quietly squirreled away working on their follow-up to 2023's Spill, and hopefully this new single will give you a nice indication about where they're headed! Fingers crossed that we won't have to wait much longer for even more new Dad Hats! Alongside the new tunes, we also have a merch capsule, so it's time to also stock up on some new tees.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a preorder and these are expected to ship on or around July 10th

Kicking off the first side of this 7" is undoubtledly the feel good, dopamine-hit-of-nostalgia cover of Wheatus' Teenage Dirtbag, expertly executed. It's hard to think of a cover song that is more suited for the band than this one, and if you've caught them live in the past several months, you already know how amazing it is!

Rounding out the b-side of the record is a new track titled Never Better. A re-recorded version of this song will be included in the forthcoming full length album, and it's packed full of the sarcastic misery and self-deprecation that the band is already known for...just dialed up to 11. It's infectious and - on it's face - seems like a chirpy, summertime bop until you really start to peel back the tongue-in-cheek layers. Vocalist Craig Turner has never been more raw, and we get that balanced on top of some of most entertaining music the band has created to date!

This new EP was recorded at Costume Party Records in Nashville, TN, mixed by James Paul Wisner (Paramore, Underoath, etc) and then mastered by Eric Mitchell (Glassjaw) before being pressed on two wild and fun colors.
